TL;DR

Location: Hybrid role in Dayton, Ohio, United States

Salary: $84,387–$126,581 USD annually

What you will do

  • Conduct targeted reverse engineering of embedded systems and software components.
  • Perform static and dynamic analysis to identify security weaknesses.
  • Develop and refine proof-of-concept capabilities demonstrating vulnerabilities and research impact.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation on complex research targets.
  • Collaborate with security researchers, CNO developers, hardware engineers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver customer solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in cybersecurity research, vulnerability research, or reverse engineering.
  • Proficiency with a modern decompiler such as Ghidra, IDA Pro, or Binary Ninja, and a debugger such as GDB or WinDBG.
  • Proficiency in C or C++, Python, *nix operating systems, and common network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, and HTTP.
  • Active US Secret-level security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with fuzzing frameworks such as AFL++, LibFuzzer, or Boofuzz.
  • Experience with JTAG, SWD, or UART hardware debugging interfaces and firmware extraction.
  • Familiarity with ASLR, DEP, Stack Canaries, WiFi, Bluetooth, or Zigbee.
  • CTF participation or independent security research projects.
