Security Engineer - Vulnerability Detection (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid (Sunnyvale, CA). Must be based in the USA.

Salary: $100,000 - $145,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead vulnerability detection coverage and research for supported platforms.
• Guide risk-based vulnerability management and company thought leadership.
• Develop and validate the efficacy and accuracy of vulnerability data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams across various locations.
• Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate analysis, PoC development, and detection rule creation.
• Design and implement AI agent workflows to automate multi-step vulnerability validation processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Individual Contributor.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid (2-3 days on-site) in Sunnyvale, CA.
• Proficiency in Python, Perl, or Golang for automation tasks.
• Deep understanding of vulnerability prioritization models and detection techniques.
• Experience developing and releasing security/vulnerability detections.
• Familiarity with Agile processes.
