Senior Data Governance Analyst (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based out of the Kansas City, Missouri office; employees must attend the office on a scheduled frequency. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

What you will do

• Execute and evolve the enterprise data governance operating model, primarily for unstructured data and secondarily for structured data supporting AI and analytics.
• Roll out governance practices across SharePoint, Teams, file shares, and cloud repositories, covering metadata quality, classification, retention readiness, and AI fitness.
• Oversee governance artifacts including data maps, content inventories, metadata standards, issue remediation, access controls, security, audit, legal hold, and retention readiness.
• Design workflows, dashboards, and automation for classification, labeling, metadata generation, retention controls, and eDiscovery readiness.
• Administer Collibra, enable users, promote consistent governance-tool adoption, and collaborate with vendors on metadata, classification, lineage, and policy-enforcement capabilities.
• Define governance requirements and guardrails for AWS-based metadata pipelines and enable trusted unstructured data use in AI, analytics, search, and RAG-based solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data operations, including hands-on unstructured data classification, tagging, retention, and access controls.
• Experience with governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or IBM IGC for metadata management, cataloging, lineage, and traceability.
• Experience partnering with data platform and cloud teams to operationalize metadata enrichment or governance controls.
• Familiarity with AI-ready data concepts and governance for unstructured data used in AI, search, or RAG solutions.
• U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with records management, retention, legal hold, data classification, and retention policies.
• Experience in financial services or asset management.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, automation, project management, Agile, or Six Sigma.
• Experience with Python or SQL.
