Senior BI Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that transform raw data into production-ready datasets for threat detection, risk investigation, and customer-facing features.
• Design scalable, maintainable dbt data models using layered architecture, reusable components, and documentation.
• Own and evolve foundational cybersecurity datasets, governance, observability, and high-scale data delivery.
• Orchestrate and monitor workflows with Airflow, including scheduling, dependencies, retries, alerting, and SLAs.
• Partner with Security Analysts, Data Science, Research, and Product teams to translate requirements into reliable datasets and pipelines.
• Ensure data quality and reliability through testing, validation, and monitoring of critical security datasets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in BI development, analytics engineering, or data warehouse development.
• Expert SQL skills and strong knowledge of data modeling, including dimensional modeling, facts, dimensions, and modular design.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools, orchestration, transformations, CI/testing, and monitoring.
• Experience building data pipelines that feed production systems, detection engines, or operational data products.
• Experience with cloud data technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure and warehouses such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
• Strong communication skills and a track record of delivering data solutions with real product or operational impact.

Nice to have

• Python experience.
• Familiarity with web technologies and protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and HTML.
• Cybersecurity or security data experience.
• Production experience with dbt and Airflow.
