Occupational Health Nurse

Location: Skaneateles, New York, United States; onsite facility role

Salary: $68,000–$93,500 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses

What you will do

• Implement and evaluate the facility-level occupational health program, including immediate care, health surveillance, job placement, health promotion, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide first response for employee and visitor illnesses and injuries, coordinate the medical emergency response team, and participate in root cause analysis.
• Manage hearing conservation, audiometry, respiratory surveillance, reproductive and chemical hazard exposure programs, and occupational health records.
• Coordinate case management and return-to-work planning with healthcare professionals, human resources, managers, insurers, and third-party administrators.
• Support workplace hazard reduction through ergonomics assessments, collaboration with environmental health and safety professionals, counseling, and continuous improvement.
• Manage the onsite drug-testing program, maintain required reporting, coordinate external physician support, and facilitate compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Registered nurse with a current license to practice; BSN preferred.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience.
• OSHA 30-hour training, or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
• Education in fundamentals of industrial ergonomics, or willingness to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Visa sponsorship and transfer of employment visa sponsorship are not available.

Nice to have

• Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification.
• Task-based certifications such as pulmonary function testing or hearing testing.
