What you will do
- Lead implementation of UNFPA-funded sexual and reproductive health projects in Puntland and Northeast State.
- Develop work plans, monitor field activities, identify implementation gaps, and support quality improvement across health facilities and outreach teams.
- Provide technical support, training, coaching, and mentorship on family planning, maternal and newborn care, emergency obstetric and newborn care, and gender-based violence survivor care.
- Monitor SRH indicators and service data, support assessments and evaluations, and prepare regular and donor reports.
- Represent IRC in health coordination forums and collaborate with the Ministry of Health, UNFPA, local authorities, and implementing partners.
- Supervise project staff and coordinate the availability, storage, and replenishment of SRH commodities, drugs, medical supplies, and reproductive health kits.
Requirements
- University degree in Medicine, Midwifery, Nursing, or another relevant health-related field.
- At least three years of progressively responsible experience in SRH programming in humanitarian and development settings.
- Experience managing donor-funded health projects and working with government health systems, health facilities, and community-based health interventions.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
- Computer proficiency, analytical and communication skills, negotiation ability, and strategic thinking.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in public health, reproductive health, or a related field.
- Experience with UNFPA-funded programs.
