NPI Strategic Sourcing Manager III (Semiconductor Equipment) (supply chain and program management): Designing and commercializing supply chains for new semiconductor equipment with an accent on supplier strategy, material cost management, and supply continuity. Focus on developing dual-sourcing plans, eliminating single points of failure, negotiating supplier costs, and coordinating cross-functional NPI programs.

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Travel required approximately 10% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $101,000–$139,000 per year

What you will do

  • Design and commercialize supply chains for new semiconductor equipment from NPI through high-volume production.
  • Develop supplier strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and establish dual-sourcing plans to improve continuity and reduce risk.
  • Identify single points of failure and create mitigation strategies for critical and long-lead components.
  • Lead material cost reduction roadmaps, supplier price negotiations, and cost apportionment models.
  • Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, quality, suppliers, and production control within a matrix organization.
  • Manage supply-chain activities across end-to-end semiconductor equipment NPI programs, including risks, delivery, budget, and quality.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in semiconductor equipment development, fabrication, and/or supply chain management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in program management, supply chain management, and commercial business practices.
  • Knowledge of fabrication commodities and processes.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to interpret business challenges, apply structured analysis, and influence senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • MS or MBA degree.
  • Experience supporting R&D initiatives involving emerging technologies and materials.
