Sr. Associate Software Development Engineer - US Federal (Cloud/DevOps)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States. Hybrid Flex Work requires spending at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field. United States citizenship is required for work on U.S. Federal Government contracts.

Annual base salary: $113,400–$170,200 USD for the primary location; $102,600–$183,600 USD for additional U.S. locations. The role may also include bonus eligibility and annual refresh stock grants.

What you will do

• Manage and optimize hirify.global deployments in U.S. Federal cloud regions.
• Oversee deployment of the hirify.global technology stack in air-gapped cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain deployment automation tools, orchestration frameworks, and analytics.
• Design, code, debug, document, and support deployment-related programs and processing routines.
• Partner with Federal Cyber Defense on cybersecurity posture, governance, risk, compliance, and platform security health.
• Collaborate with commercial software engineering teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and flexible platform solutions.

Requirements

• United States citizenship is mandatory for Federal Government contract work.
• 2+ years of experience deploying large-scale, complex applications and 3+ years of cloud-based deployments on AWS or GCP.
• 1+ year of experience with automation tools and languages including Ansible, Python, Go, Chef, and Puppet.
• Experience with CI/CD, build management, monitoring, deployment orchestration, and automation frameworks.
• Experience with networks, servers, storage, and operating systems in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Chef, Puppet, and Ansible infrastructure automation.

Nice to have

• Extensive experience developing orchestration and automation frameworks with Ansible and Jenkins.
• Ability to introduce, integrate, and implement new technologies rapidly.
