Small Animal Dermatologist (Veterinary Dermatology)

What you will do

• Diagnose and manage allergic, autoimmune, infectious, and parasitic dermatologic conditions in small animals.
• Perform skin scrapings, cytologies, biopsies, allergy testing, video otoscopy, and deep ear flushes.
• Provide dermatologic consultations for in-house referrals and external clients.
• Collaborate with referring veterinarians and in-house specialists on comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and educate clients on treatment plans, medication use, and long-term management.

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Board certification or residency training in Veterinary Dermatology through ACVD or ECVD.
• Active veterinary license in the relevant state or ability to obtain one.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service.

Nice to have

• Experience with or interest in teaching and mentoring support staff or interns.
• Familiarity with advanced dermatologic diagnostics and treatment protocols.
• Experience managing complex cases and collaborating with other specialists.
