ASC Surgical Scheduler (Vascular Access Surgery)

What you will do

• Schedule vascular access repairs, permanent access creation, and other surgical procedures.
• Coordinate preoperative tests, medical records, referrals, patient transportation, and dialysis treatments.
• Provide patients with education about pre- and postoperative procedures.
• Maintain access referral systems and triage dialysis-unit calls related to procedures.
• Coordinate with the Vascular Access Coordinator to ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Participate in annual goals and assigned committees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer and medical software knowledge.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to interpret procedure and safety documents, prepare routine reports, and communicate effectively.
• Clinical experience with chronic kidney disease or hemodialysis is preferred.
• One year of surgery scheduling experience is preferred.
