What you will do

• Schedule vascular access creations, repairs, and other surgical procedures for patients with chronic kidney disease and related conditions.
• Manage phone calls, computer referrals, patient records, required tests, and preoperative documentation.
• Provide education about pre- and post-procedure care.
• Coordinate dialysis treatments and transportation to help prevent missed treatments and hospitalizations.
• Triage dialysis-unit calls and coordinate follow-up with the Vascular Access Coordinator.
• Maintain referral systems and participate in committees and annual performance goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Fluent written, spoken, and reading Spanish and English required.
• Basic computer and medical software knowledge.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and prepare routine correspondence.

Nice to have

• Clinical experience with chronic kidney disease or hemodialysis.
• At least one year of surgery scheduling experience.
