What you will do

• Define concepts and configurations for novel X-ray inspection and metrology systems.
• Design and engineer system modules and sub-modules, qualify their performance, and develop new or modified inspection systems.
• Plan experiments, collect and analyze data, and conduct feasibility studies for advanced substrates, technologies, complete systems, and subsystems.
• Define system requirements and specifications, troubleshoot system problems, and support physics-related application issues in laboratory and field environments.
• Plan development projects, support product risk decisions, participate in vendor selection and customer engagements, and evaluate competitors and market needs.
• Guide less experienced physicists and scientists and lead small projects.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in physics or a related discipline, with basic knowledge of related fields.
• Experience with X-ray equipment and X-ray imaging systems is preferred.
• Ability to solve complex problems using analysis from multiple information sources.
• Experience defining system requirements, analyzing performance data, and evaluating new technologies.
• Ability to explain complex information and build consensus across related teams.
