Staff+ Software Engineer, Platform Ecosystem (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; preference for candidates based in NY, Seattle, San Francisco, or the Bay Area. Hybrid policy requires staff to work from an office at least 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Drive 0 → 1 platform ecosystem initiatives from ideation through delivery and operations.
• Build capabilities, integrations, and workflows that help industries such as life sciences and healthcare adopt Claude safely and at scale.
• Design and operate commercial systems that enable businesses to price, package, and sell products built on the platform.
• Develop monetization controls at the intersection of product, platform infrastructure, and go-to-market.
• Partner with product, design, research, and forward-deployed engineering teams to shape strategy and deliver products in new domains.
• Own products across design, implementation, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of practical experience as a backend or platform engineer, plus some frontend experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience in a relevant field.
• Strong product sense and technical ability across a broad range of engineering challenges.
• Experience making independent technical decisions in ambiguous environments and ideally in both 0 → 1 and mature organizations.
• Experience using AI tools as part of the software development process.
• Ability to build robust, scalable, and easy-to-use systems for engineers and businesses.
