Senior Trade Operations Analyst (Equities and Derivatives)

What you will do

• Own daily trade control, including trade, transaction, position, and cash capture, reconciliation, validation, and break resolution.
• Maintain intraday and end-of-day P&L and position views, investigate variances, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Operate within exchange and regulatory controls, support submissions, and maintain audit-ready evidence.
• Partner with traders, dealers, brokers, clearing, middle and back office, technology teams, and external counterparties.
• Automate workflows, reconciliations, and reporting using Excel, VBA, Python, and SQL while building scalable SOPs, dashboards, and controls.
• Lead market and product onboarding initiatives through scoping, UAT, rollout, change management, and documentation; mentor junior analysts and new joiners.

Requirements

• Typically 7+ years of experience in trade operations or desk support within equities and equity derivatives.
• Strong knowledge of equities, options, and equity derivatives across the full trade lifecycle.
• Advanced Excel and Bloomberg proficiency; practical automation experience with VBA, Python, or SQL is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex breaks and incidents through root-cause analysis, escalation, and durable remediation.
• Experience leading operational initiatives, including stakeholder alignment, testing, UAT, rollout, documentation, and new market or product onboarding.
• Strong analytical, organisational, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills, with the ability to remain hands-on under pressure.
