TL;DR
Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) (Solar Energy): Supporting planning, forecasting, reporting, and cost management for intelligent solar tracker and software solutions with an accent on financial modeling, CapEx analysis, and business performance insights. Focus on developing budget dashboards, analyzing variances, improving forecast accuracy, and partnering with Operations, R&D, Accounting, and business leaders.
Location: Shanghai, China; work in the Shanghai office

What you will do
- Support annual business planning, operating plans, and periodic financial forecasts across assigned business units and locations.
- Manage monthly accruals, forecast updates, and financial reporting processes.
- Develop weekly budget-tracking dashboards and perform variance analysis against plans, forecasts, and actual results.
- Partner with Operations, R&D, Accounting, and other stakeholders to improve month-end close and forecasting processes.
- Evaluate operating expenses, identify cost-optimization opportunities, and support cost-saving initiatives.
- Build financial models, analysis templates, and reporting tools for forecasting and CapEx accountability, including ad hoc and scenario analyses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- At least four years of progressive Finance and/or Accounting experience, preferably in FP&A.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, financial modeling, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of capital expenditures and fixed asset accounting, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with SQL or other data analysis tools.
- Experience with Hyperion and Anaplan.
