Senior Compliance Manager (Insurance)

Location: Remote within the United States; must be able to work Eastern Standard Time. Occasional travel may be required.

Salary: $128,232–$190,000 per year, with geographic location affecting final base pay.

What you will do

• Lead complex regulatory compliance matters, research requirements, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and manage the Regulatory Change Management process.
• Develop and enhance compliance policies, procedures, controls, and employee training programs.
• Prepare and manage compliance reports, regulatory filings, audit materials, data calls, investigations, and responses to consumer complaints.
• Oversee corporate governance obligations, insurance producer and entity licensing, appointments, commission gatekeeping, and mandatory screening requirements.
• Manage surplus line taxes, FMCSA and other state and federal transportation-related filings while incorporating AI and emerging technologies into compliance workflows.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of compliance experience in a property and casualty insurance business or insurance intermediary.
• Deep knowledge of P&C insurance regulatory requirements, including admitted and Excess & Surplus lines.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; a legal degree is preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex regulations, exercise sound judgment, and develop practical compliance solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organization, initiative, and high ethical standards.
• Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time and be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in commercial auto insurance.
• Experience with both admitted and Excess & Surplus lines.
