Senior Software Engineer - Internal Efficiency (AI)

Location: Remote, USA

Annual base salary: $143,000–$219,000, with potential discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Embed with internal teams to map workflows, identify bottlenecks, and define AI solutions with measurable efficiency outcomes.
• Own the full lifecycle from discovery and prototyping through deployment, adoption, measurement, and iteration.
• Build AI-powered tools, agents, and automations integrated with Python and Java microservices, web and mobile applications, and third-party systems.
• Expand agentic software development across engineering and evaluate emerging AI tools, models, and patterns.
• Define impact metrics covering time saved, throughput, quality, and cost, and communicate results to stakeholders and leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, product, design, security, operations, and behavioral health teams while maintaining high quality and security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience developing enterprise or consumer web applications, ideally with Python or Java/Spring.
• Production experience with LLMs, agentic tools and frameworks, prompt and context engineering, evaluations, Claude, and Codex.
• Experience working directly with non-engineering stakeholders, translating ambiguous business problems into shipped software, and driving adoption.
• Strong judgment about responsible AI use and risk, especially in a healthcare context.
• Highly proactive and comfortable with substantial autonomy across design, product, frontend, backend, and quality.
