Senior Software Engineer (AI / LLMs)

Location: Remote. International employment is supported through Deel; U.S.-specific benefits apply only to employees working in the United States.

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 USD base salary.

What you will do

• Design and implement backend services for intelligent agent workflows and autonomous infrastructure actions.
• Develop Python and TypeScript APIs, orchestration layers, and event-driven services integrating LLMs, vector databases, and observability pipelines.
• Build scalable retrieval, reasoning, and decision-making systems for cloud infrastructure.
• Integrate AWS Bedrock and other LLM platforms to support multi-model capabilities.
• Develop semantic search and data-access layers using vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, and Qdrant.
• Build monitoring, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and documentation practices in collaboration with product and DevOps teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript for distributed, event-driven systems.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, ECS, Bedrock, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Experience designing APIs, microservices, event pipelines, and LLM or AI model integrations.
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, similarity search, RAG, SQL, and schema migrations.
• Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK, Docker, GitHub Actions, cloud-native CI/CD, system design, and asynchronous collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with LangChain, OpenAI, or Anthropic APIs.
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks, AI orchestration systems, observability or APM tools.
• Experience building infrastructure automation or management tools.
• Contributions to open-source LLM or MLOps projects.
