Principal Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, limited to candidates in the EST or CST time zones. Travel up to 10%, including overnight travel.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and evolve customer-facing healthcare analytics, ML, and AI applications and data platforms.
• Architect scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performance analytics products using cloud, microservices, and serverless technologies.
• Contribute hands-on to platform features and components while maintaining alignment with project goals.
• Own the quality, performance, scalability, availability, and security of software delivered by one or more teams.
• Partner with product managers, product owners, executives, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers, guide technical strategy, manage risks, and promote architectural innovation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering and/or data engineering experience in a software product company.
• 5+ years of experience developing healthcare analytics products and applications spanning frontend, backend, and data platforms.
• Extensive experience building complex SaaS solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, including microservices and serverless architectures.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, and Python, plus experience with production-grade high-volume systems.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Snowflake, Redshift, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Hands-on experience with data analytics, AI/ML integrations, generative AI, LLMs, agentic workflows, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
