Physical Security Avigilon Administrator

Location: Austin, Texas or Santa Clara, California. Travel between sites as required, approximately 20% of the time. Relocation is not available. After-hours maintenance windows and on-call support are required.

Salary: $116,000–$159,500 per year

What you will do

• Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Avigilon Control Center video management systems, cameras, NVRs, encoders, and related infrastructure.
• Configure Avigilon Alta Access or ACM systems, access control hardware, credentials, permissions, and security policies.
• Integrate video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems while optimizing analytics, image quality, retention, and storage.
• Monitor platform health, respond to incidents and outages, perform root cause analysis, and preserve video evidence for investigations.
• Collaborate with IT on network connectivity, VLANs, bandwidth, cybersecurity requirements, firmware updates, and vulnerability remediation.
• Support security technology deployments and facility expansions, including documentation, vendor coordination, acceptance testing, and commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, security systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise physical security systems.
• Hands-on experience with Avigilon Control Center, Avigilon cameras and NVR appliances, and Avigilon ACM and/or Alta Access.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, video surveillance, access control technologies, and security system integrations.
• Experience troubleshooting physical security hardware and software.
• Ability to work at the Austin, Texas or Santa Clara, California site, travel between sites, lift and install equipment up to 40 lbs, and participate in after-hours and on-call support.

Nice to have

• Avigilon Certified Professional certification.
• Experience with Genetec, LenelS2, Software House CCURE, or Milestone.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for physical security devices and cloud-managed security platforms.
• Project management experience in enterprise environments.
• CPP, PSP, SIA, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco CCNA certification.
