Physical Security Avigilon Administrator (Avigilon)

Location: Santa Clara, California or Austin, Texas; travel between sites as required, including 20% travel; after-hours maintenance and on-call support required.

Salary: $116,000–$159,500 per year.

What you will do

• Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Avigilon Control Center video management systems, cameras, NVRs, encoders, analytics, appearance search, event monitoring, storage, and retention policies.
• Support Avigilon Alta Access and/or ACM, including access permissions, credentials, card readers, controllers, door contacts, locking devices, and integrations with video and alarm systems.
• Monitor enterprise security platforms, respond to incidents, outages, and hardware failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Support investigations through video retrieval, export, and evidence preservation.
• Collaborate with IT on network connectivity, VLANs, bandwidth, cybersecurity, IP security devices, PoE infrastructure, upgrades, firmware, and vulnerability remediation.
• Support deployments and facility expansion projects, produce technical documentation and as-built drawings, coordinate implementation stakeholders, and conduct acceptance testing and commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, security systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise physical security systems.
• Hands-on experience with Avigilon Control Center, Avigilon cameras and NVR appliances, and Avigilon ACM and/or Alta Access.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, video surveillance systems, access control technologies, and security system integrations.
• Experience troubleshooting physical security hardware and software.
• Ability to travel between sites, lift and install security equipment up to 40 lbs, and participate in after-hours maintenance windows and on-call support.

Nice to have

• Avigilon Certified Professional certification.
• Experience with Genetec, LenelS2, Software House CCURE, or Milestone.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for physical security devices.
• Experience with cloud-managed security platforms and mobile credential technologies.
• Enterprise project management experience.
• Preferred certifications including CPP, PSP, SIA certifications, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco CCNA.
