Senior OT Engineer

Location: Torrance, California, United States; travel to the Orangeville, Utah facility approximately 15% of the time. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Salary: $125,000–$210,000 USD base salary.

What you will do

• Turn defined implementation or testing objectives into practical plans covering prerequisites, equipment, configuration, dependencies, tests, acceptance criteria, and recovery steps.
• Implement and operate assigned operational technology systems, or prepare, execute, and diagnose rigorous hands-on system tests.
• Diagnose faults using measurements, logs, test results, and system behavior, then verify that corrective actions resolve the issue.
• Plan and execute commissioning, failure, and recovery tests while resolving integration issues with other engineers.
• Deliver controlled configurations, executable procedures, test evidence, and usable handoff records.
• Travel to the Orangeville, Utah facility approximately 15% of the time.

Requirements

• Independently deliver an implementation or rigorous hands-on test work package from a defined objective to verified completion.
• Plan methods, interfaces, dependencies, resources, testing, and turnover within established standards.
• Diagnose causes using measurements or recorded evidence and verify that corrective actions resolve the problem.
• Maintain controlled configurations and usable records, coordinate interfaces, and escalate decisions beyond authority.
• Demonstrate at least one specialty: power distribution and backup; racks and cabling; compute, storage, and virtualization; industrial software backends; networking; technical documentation backed by hands-on testing; Windows domain administration; access control; central logging and authentication; log and packet analysis; or operational data systems.
• For power distribution and backup: determine loads and ratings and configure and troubleshoot PDU, ATS, and UPS systems.
• For industrial software backends: deploy, integrate, troubleshoot, and recover FactoryTalk or equivalent industrial backends and supporting services.
• For networking: configure and troubleshoot switching, routing, segmentation, and firewalls and verify connectivity, redundancy, and restoration.
• Travel to the Orangeville, Utah facility approximately 15% of the time.
