TL;DR
Storage Engineer (NAS/Backup): Deploying, administering, and optimizing a multi-petabyte enterprise storage, backup, and data governance environment with an accent on multi-vendor infrastructure, system health, and automation. Focus on supporting NAS and backup platforms, diagnosing performance issues, integrating storage with enterprise operating systems and hypervisors, and enabling infrastructure across APAC jurisdictions.

What you will do
- Deploy, administer, and support enterprise NAS devices and backup infrastructure, including tape libraries, disk libraries, and backup software.
- Manage and optimize a multi-petabyte, multi-vendor storage environment using Pure Storage, NetApp, VAST, and Commvault.
- Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and initiate corrective actions.
- Automate daily tasks and operations across multiple storage platforms.
- Create technical documentation, transfer knowledge, and support general systems administration within the Compute and Storage Platforms team.
- Work with infrastructure, project management, and strategy development teams to deliver scalable systems for regional and global trading operations.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience in NAS storage and backup administration.
- Enterprise Linux and Windows administration skills, including storage integration and support.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, operating system theory, distributed computing, DNS, NFS, and web-based and traditional application architectures.
- Experience integrating storage with VMware, Citrix Xen, and Hyper-V.
- Proficiency with Commvault backup, archive management, and configuration.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, relational databases, and systems engineering fundamentals.
Nice to have
- Automation and scripting experience, including Ansible.
- Experience with MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
- Technical discipline education or equivalent industry experience.
