Salary: $86,400–$129,600 per year

What you will do

• Examine existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement or correction.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal environmental regulations and prepare environmental reports.
• Recommend instrumentation and controls for new process systems.
• Ensure process changes, equipment installations, revised systems, and chemical trials meet applicable environmental and safety standards.
• Manage environmental capital projects within the assigned scope.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and process control personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience in process engineering or environmental engineering.
• Knowledge of pulp and paper-making, wastewater treatment, and recovery operations.
• Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints, multitask, and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions independently through creative problem solving.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and change.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with public relations involving people outside the company.
