Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Generative AI)

Annual salary: $115,000–$230,000

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance generative AI solutions using agentic workflows.
• Build knowledge assistants, conversational AI applications, document and audio processing copilots, voice agents, and robotic process automation solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, software engineers, product managers, and designers to define requirements, scope, priorities, and technical roadmaps.
• Integrate solutions with hirify.global’s AI platform architecture and contribute to platform development.
• Own project planning, stakeholder management, resource allocation, and timely delivery of solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and design sessions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience designing and building scalable production AI/ML applications and systems in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and similar general-purpose programming languages.
• At least 3 years managing end-to-end software development lifecycles for backend systems and APIs, including CI/CD, Kubernetes deployments, testing, monitoring, alerting, and production support.
• At least 2 years of experience training, fine-tuning, performing real-time and batch inference, and evaluating AI/ML models and LLMs.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills in cross-functional and ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience working directly with internal or external stakeholders on AI/ML initiatives.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud solutions.
• Experience with LLM agent tooling, evaluation frameworks, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
