Staff Machine Learning Engineer (Generative AI)

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-performance generative AI solutions using LLMs, agentic workflows, and knowledge-search capabilities.
• Build AI agent orchestration, conversational AI, knowledge assistants, process assistance, and automation for internal and customer-facing applications.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, software engineers, product managers, designers, and platform teams to define requirements, roadmaps, and technical direction.
• Integrate solutions with hirify.global’s AI platform architecture and contribute to platform capabilities and feature roadmaps.
• Evaluate and implement technologies, frameworks, and tools while balancing build-versus-buy decisions, maintainability, and delivery speed.
• Lead technical alignment, mentor engineers, conduct design sessions and code reviews, and establish engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing and building scalable production AI/ML applications and systems in cloud environments.
• 5+ years of experience with end-to-end development, monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement of AI/ML applications.
• 5+ years of experience with model and LLM training, fine-tuning, real-time and batch inference, and evaluation systems.
• 5+ years managing software development lifecycles for generative AI applications, backend systems, and APIs, including CI/CD, Kubernetes deployments, testing, monitoring, alerting, and production support.
• Experience with LangSmith, LangGraph, or similar agentic workflow frameworks; A2A, MCP, or similar agent communication standards; and Python, Java, or a comparable general-purpose language.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying and maintaining AI/ML products with Azure and AWS.
• Experience with production-grade LLM agents, evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
• Experience building agentic products using both no-code or low-code and traditional high-code environments.
• Experience applying agentic workflows to insurance-domain problems.
• 5+ years interfacing with internal or external stakeholders on AI/ML initiatives.
