Physical AI Senior Engineer (AI)

Location: Georgetown, Kentucky, United States. Must already have the right to work in the United States and must not require hirify.global immigration support or visa sponsorship now or in the future.

What you will do

• Integrate and deploy AI-enabled robotic solutions to improve manufacturing capability, flexibility, and performance.
• Develop computer vision, machine learning, and sensor fusion solutions for bin picking, part handling, inspection, and other manufacturing applications.
• Build and optimize AI models for industrial hardware, balancing latency, reliability, and compute constraints.
• Use simulation tools such as Isaac Sim and MuJoCo for concept validation, synthetic data generation, and Sim2Real deployment.
• Lead equipment trials, debugging, and performance validation from proof of concept through production deployment.
• Collaborate with robotics, controls, and plant manufacturing teams; manage contractors building testing cells and document solutions for future scaling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in robotics, computer science, data science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience with manufacturing automation deployments and robotics, AI/ML, or advanced automation development.
• Hands-on experience in at least two areas: computer vision, machine learning/deep learning, and robotics.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and ROS-based systems, with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Understanding of RGBD cameras, LiDAR, Time-of-Flight sensors, and sensor tuning for image quality, accuracy, and performance.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future hirify.global sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Gazebo, or similar simulation environments.
• Experience with reinforcement learning, imitation learning, synthetic data, or teleoperation-assisted learning.
• Exposure to industrial robot programming, PLC integration, manufacturing systems, or high-volume automotive manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ANSI/RIA and ISO robot safety standards.
