What you will do

• Lead the design and development of AI-native science platforms that automate the lifecycle from hypothesis formulation to production deployment.
• Architect shared knowledge infrastructure, including feature stores, experiment registries, and model leaderboards.
• Implement evaluation frameworks and seller simulations to validate model quality against synthetic populations.
• Drive integration with downstream systems to translate validated insights into seller-facing actions.
• Collaborate with product managers, economists, and data scientists to translate business problems into scalable scientific solutions.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree with 5+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, or Perl.
• Must be based in Tokyo, Japan.
• Japanese language proficiency (N1+ or business level) is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with profiling, debugging, and optimizing large-scale machine learning systems for performance and scalability.
