What you will do

  • Develop and refine intrinsic, extrinsic, and temporal calibration workflows for LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, and other sensor modalities.
  • Design scalable systems for managing and processing large sensor datasets with high reliability and performance.
  • Implement and optimize calibration algorithms in C++ and Python.
  • Improve automated calibration tooling and integrate emerging technologies into calibration workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on documentation requirements and project deliverables.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a robotics software engineer, with expertise in robotics, computer vision, and sensor calibration.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python and the ability to write maintainable, efficient software.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D geometry, computer vision, and camera, LiDAR-camera, and multi-sensor calibration techniques.
  • Experience with PCL, Open3D, OpenCV, Kalibr, ROS, Ubuntu, Ceres, GTSAM, or g2o.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Research experience with robotics, computer vision, or machine vision publications.
  • Experience with factory-level calibration procedures and high-volume product-line tooling.
  • Experience calibrating large numbers of camera intrinsics or camera-LiDAR systems using automated or semi-automated workflows.
