Staff Engineer - Platform Security Engineering – Encryption and Tokenization (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and evolution of encryption, tokenization, and key management solutions.
• Implement secure, production-ready data protection capabilities and set technical direction for the team.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, observability, reliability, and auditable logging for encryption and tokenization services.
• Partner with compliance, security, data governance, application, product, and engineering teams to align cryptographic solutions with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Make architectural decisions for scalable and resilient key management systems and data protection workflows.
• Mentor engineers and improve secure coding, operational practices, performance, cost efficiency, and developer experience.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in security or software engineering focused on encryption, tokenization, key management, or cryptography.
• 3+ years contributing to system design, architecture, and security-focused solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cryptographic encryption, tokenization, KMS, HSMs, and cryptography standards.
• Experience building production-grade services, preferably with Go, and operating stateful systems such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Google Tink, PKCS#11, JCE, OpenSSL, open-source cryptography frameworks, and cloud environments.
• Experience with SRE practices, monitoring, alerting, incident response, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
