Staff AI Security Scientist (Agentic AI)

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $235,000–$350,000 per year, plus bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

What you will do

• Lead the research agenda for autonomous agentic AI systems across cybersecurity use cases.
• Conduct original research on efficient models, LLM post-training, reward modeling, and data curation for security workflows.
• Develop evaluation, verification, and validation methodologies for models, data, agent designs, and end-to-end systems.
• Create benchmarks and adversarial evaluation protocols for measuring agent performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with security research, threat intelligence, detection engineering, and product teams.
• Advance agent design techniques involving harnesses, scaffolding, planning, memory, tool use, and multi-step reasoning.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar quantitative field.
• 10+ years of experience in data science, ML/DL, or AI focused on large-scale data problems.
• Hands-on expertise in modern LLM post-training techniques.
• Research contributions to or experience building agentic systems.
• Strong experience designing, extending, or validating evaluation methodologies.
• Ability to work remotely from the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience in offensive security, detection engineering, incident response, or threat intelligence research.
• Experience designing reinforcement learning environments and synthetic data pipelines.
• Experience with AI regulatory, compliance, audit, and responsible deployment discussions.
• Experience mentoring and developing security researchers.
