Legal Counsel (Aerospace)

Location: Torrance, California or Washington, D.C.; on-site five days per week

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 per year, plus equity and potential performance bonuses

What you will do

• Advise engineering, sales, product, and go-to-market stakeholders on complex business opportunities and practical legal strategies.
• Support operations across U.S. and international regulatory regimes as regulations evolve.
• Assist with global market entry, regulatory licensing, filings, and advocacy before regulatory agencies and government bodies.
• Draft, negotiate, and review customer, vendor, NDA, and government contracts.
• Develop legal processes, playbooks, and templates for scalable legal operations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 4+ years of relevant legal experience; government, law firm, or in-house experience is useful.
• Working knowledge of U.S. regulatory processes, including agency rulemaking, licensing, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
• Must successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR regulations.
