Senior AI Engineer

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid or full remote

What you will do

• Design and build production-grade AI applications and services using Python.
• Translate business requirements and AI use cases into scalable technical solutions.
• Build backend services, APIs, workflows, integrations, and reusable components incorporating LLMs and other AI capabilities.
• Design evaluation frameworks, test cases, observability, instrumentation, tracing, and monitoring for AI systems.
• Develop automated tests and CI/CD pipelines, diagnose issues, and support deployed production workloads.
• Contribute to architecture and technology decisions, review engineering work, and collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, backend engineering, applied AI, or a related field.
• Strong Python fundamentals and experience building maintainable production applications, backend services, and APIs.
• Experience designing and deploying AI or LLM-powered products beyond proof-of-concept or notebook environments.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including modular design, testing, version control, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience evaluating LLM outputs, designing repeatable test cases, and improving the reliability and predictability of probabilistic AI systems.
• Experience with observability, external APIs, enterprise integrations, technical problem-solving, and communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with RAG, semantic search, embeddings, vector databases, or retrieval-based AI architectures.
• Experience building agentic or multi-step LLM workflows, structured outputs, tool calling, and schema-driven applications.
• Familiarity with AI evaluation and observability platforms, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerisation, and production deployment of Python services.
• Exposure to consulting, financial services, manufacturing, or other enterprise environments.
