Senior Backend AI Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Refactor, maintain, and scale backend and AI framework layers to support multi-tenant growth.
• Implement production LLM observability, token cost optimization, retrieval tuning, and real-time model and data drift detection.
• Build prompt versioning systems, A/B testing pipelines, and LLM evaluation frameworks.
• Develop copilot services and agentic workflows that generate structured emails, text messages, and call scripts.
• Deliver Python backend services, integrations, and APIs connecting to Pinecone and LLM providers.
• Drive features from concept through production in client cloud environments while maintaining code quality and operational standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience, primarily focused on backend systems.
• 3+ years of production Python engineering experience.
• 2+ years building, deploying, and maintaining production Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems.
• Experience with LLM observability and tracing, prompt versioning, A/B testing, evaluation frameworks, and production drift monitoring.
• Senior-level ownership, technical execution, ambiguity resolution, and independent delivery.
• Fluent English is required for daily collaboration with US-based teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic applications or copilot workflows using LangGraph, AutoGen, or custom frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with vector databases, especially Pinecone.
• Experience with token cost management and retrieval optimization at scale.
• EdTech or plugin-based integration experience.
