Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

hirify.global is presenting an opportunity with a well-established nonprofit organization in the Tampa Bay area focused on mission impact and organizational growth.

What you will do

• Provide strategic financial leadership as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and partner with the President & CEO and Board of Directors.
• Lead, mentor, and develop approximately 15 employees across Finance and Accounting, Inventory, Organizational Excellence, and Technology and Data Reporting.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, treasury management, cash flow, payroll, grants, contracts, insurance, and risk management.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements, internal controls, GAAP compliance, and compliance with regulatory and funder requirements.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning in support of the organization’s growth goals.
• Improve financial systems, processes, technology, and inventory-related controls to support scalability and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including significant tenure as a CFO, VP of Finance, or similar senior finance executive.
• Experience in a nonprofit, social enterprise, or comparable mission-driven organization.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing, multi-departmental teams.
• Experience preparing and presenting financial information to Boards of Directors and senior executives.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, problem-solving, communication, judgment, integrity, and executive presence.

Nice to have

• CPA and/or MBA.
