Lead Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or security clearance.

Salary: $130,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and iterate on a customer-facing healthcare application using TypeScript and React.
• Lead frontend architecture, review pull requests, and champion engineering quality.
• Drive test-first development across critical healthcare infrastructure.
• Integrate WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards into the product.
• Partner with backend engineers on RESTful API integration and frontend-to-backend delivery.
• Mentor engineers and participate in planning, refinement, PI Planning, and release readiness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience with deep expertise in TypeScript and React.
• Technical leadership experience with code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentoring.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Test-first mindset and experience building reliable, maintainable software.
• Working knowledge of backend systems and REST APIs.
• Bachelor’s degree and U.S. work authorization; certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and federal background investigation or security clearance eligibility.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-native development workflows and coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Gemini.
