Manager, Network Engineering - Transport (Cybersecurity)

Location: USA - Remote. Must be eligible for CJIS clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status.

Salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses and equity grants.

What you will do

• Lead the network engineering team and scale the IP and Optical backbone while maintaining consistency and stability.
• Define the technical roadmap, cloud connectivity strategy, and budget.
• Advance IP and Optical network architecture across hybrid infrastructure in collaboration with internal service partners.
• Coordinate with external vendors on roadmaps, designs, platforms, and post-mortem reviews.
• Drive operational excellence, backbone automation, and tools that improve consistency across multiple clouds.
• Lead the development, testing, and integration of new hardware and software platforms; participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 7+ years operating multi-vendor hyperscale IP and Optical backbones, data center networks, and public cloud networks such as AWS, GCP, or OCI.
• Experience managing global engineering teams and independently leading complex initiatives.
• Expertise in DWDM, ROADM, MP-BGP, MPLS, RSVP, Segment Routing, IS-IS, QoS, and MACsec.
• Experience with optical networks, core backbone routing, DDoS mitigation, edge network services, and network simulation and testing tools.
• Experience with Bash or Python scripting and automation frameworks such as Ansible, Chef, or Terraform.
• Experience in FedRAMP or other regulated environments and eligibility for CJIS clearance are required.
