Staff Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor engineers in AI-first development methodologies and technical best practices.
• Architect and scale secure, high-performance AI-enhanced applications and systems.
• Integrate chatbot assistants, image-based diagnostics, automated content creation, LLMs, agentic workflows, and autonomous AI systems into production products.
• Design and optimize AI-driven APIs and microservices connecting models, applications, and databases.
• Drive adoption of LLM-augmented development environments, automation frameworks, observability, and monitoring systems.
• Guide architectural decisions, balance execution speed with innovation, and connect technical choices to business and financial impact.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years developing AI-powered or AI-integrated applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI applications using models or APIs such as Hugging Face, OpenAI, or Anthropic.
• Proficiency with Microsoft development environments, including Visual Studio and VS Code, plus AWS or Azure cloud services.
• Strong understanding of AI model cost optimization, infrastructure scaling, performance tuning, and production reliability.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead AI-first engineering transformations.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain or AutoGPT.
• Open-source AI contributions, AI research, conference participation, or other industry thought leadership.
• Experience with AI-powered UI/UX development and human-computer interaction.
• Strong proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native AI deployments.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and AI-driven problem-solving.
