Senior Equity Research Analyst (AI)

Location: Onsite at CNBC Headquarters, 900 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $200,000–$235,000 yearly, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Build AI-powered equity research platform features for stock discovery, research, and selection.
• Design and evaluate LLM workflows that process unstructured information into structured metrics and investment factors.
• Develop and assess sector-based factor models using fundamental research, statistical techniques, and quantitative factor design.
• Oversee stock-picking model alignment and produce structured reports for retail investors.
• Partner with Engineering to implement APIs, DAGs, databases, automated pipelines, and reproducible backtests and evaluations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of buy-side public markets investing experience focused on long-term fundamental analysis.
• Current employment at a hedge fund or previous hedge fund employment within the past six months is required.
• Experience with idea generation, investment research, portfolio analysis, and process-driven buy-side strategies.
• Practical experience with LLM workflows in equity research, including prompt and context engineering, structured extraction, and error analysis.
• Programming, coding, or data experience and the ability to collaborate with Engineering on automated equity analysis features.
• Multi-sector fundamental research experience, forensic accounting knowledge, three-statement modeling, and sector-wide model building.
