Senior Software Engineer (Node.js)

Location: Fully remote only for residents of the listed US states; the role requires work from the contiguous United States.

Salary: $135,900–$153,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, review, build, architect, and deploy new systems and improvements to existing web applications.
• Lead significant migration efforts and provide technical guidance, documentation, mentoring, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, government partners, and other contractors in an agile environment.
• Create tools and processes that automate development, testing, and production workflows.
• Participate in on-call support and investigate production issues.
• Support hiring activities, including referrals, interviews, and interview debriefs.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience driving systemic improvements in complex service environments and working in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
• At least 5 years of professional experience building web applications and systems with modern JavaScript frameworks, especially Node.js.
• Significant experience designing and building medium- to large-scale web applications on cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience designing, building, and testing semantic, accessible, Section 508-compliant web applications.
• Required familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine, or Mocha.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future; additional government-contract requirements and background checks or security clearances may apply.
