Utilities & HVAC Engineer II (Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Oversee, design, and support primary plant HVACR and utility systems.
• Support maintenance teams with system lifecycle management, reliability improvements, and resolution of major equipment breakdowns.
• Plan CAPEX infrastructure projects, including scope definition, cost estimation, and vendor communication.
• Coordinate factory acceptance testing, startup activities, and change requests in accordance with GMP standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system capacity, develop technical standards, and prioritize projects.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with training and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with GMP compliance, EHS procedures, building automation, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to perform technical analysis, develop system-level design criteria, and provide operational guidance for industrial systems.
• Ability to learn to read complex MEP and HVAC drawings.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, coordinating technical execution teams, and guiding engineering consultants, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
