Postbaccalaureate Research Fellow (Immunology)

Location: Onsite at the Tonix Research and Development Center in Frederick, Maryland

Salary: $50,000–$70,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Conduct original research supporting immunotherapeutic programs and autoimmune disease models.
• Plan and execute in-vitro and ex-vivo studies, including tissue processing, sample analysis, and results compilation.
• Develop and optimize research methods, assays, and reliable in-vivo, ex-vivo, and in-vitro autoimmune models.
• Process samples using spectral flow cytometry, in-vivo imaging, and contemporary molecular approaches.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot experimental data with attention to quality and reproducibility.
• Prepare scientific reports and presentations and collaborate with cross-functional project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, or a related field.
• Proficient hands-on experience with flow cytometry, ELISA, DNA/RNA isolation and handling, PCR, and aseptic cell culture.
• Experience maintaining mammalian cell lines and isolating primary cells from human and laboratory animal sources.
• Comfort working with human- and laboratory-animal-derived tissue samples and in BSL/2 and ABSL/2 environments.
• Ability to work independently, generate hypotheses, design studies, troubleshoot problems, and incorporate feedback.
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning, organization, teamwork, and collaboration skills; minimal travel and weekend work may be required.
