Senior Software Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Salary: $133,100–$210,600 USD base salary annually. Select locations, including Seattle, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City Metro Area: $159,900–$252,900 USD annually.

What you will do

• Design and implement user interface components for Fleet in Kibana and Streams, hirify.global’s tool for managing log data.
• Build full-stack features with TypeScript, React, and Node.js, integrating frontend components with backend services.
• Own complex, loosely defined problems from approach and technical decisions through delivery.
• Lead architecture and system-design discussions, considering compatibility, performance, and scale.
• Establish coding standards, reusable components, automated testing, deployment practices, and documentation.
• Collaborate asynchronously with designers, product managers, and a fully distributed engineering team.

Requirements

• Solid production experience with full-stack JavaScript, preferably TypeScript, including React and Node.js.
• Experience leading non-trivial projects end-to-end with design ownership and minimal guidance.
• Strong architecture and system-design judgment, including work in large existing codebases.
• Experience designing and launching effective user interface components.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, a user-focused mindset, and interest in asynchronous collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Nice to have

• Experience with the hirify.global stack, observability tools, or log and data-ingestion pipelines.
• Experience with Go, Kubernetes, or cloud-native application development.
• Experience building large data-heavy interfaces with search, filtering, tables, streaming, or real-time data.
• Open-source or working-in-the-open experience, or experience on a developer-facing platform team.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading a small project team.
