Senior Software Engineer (React/Node.js)

What you will do

• Develop scalable, responsive software for real-time content creation products, including Notes and Canvas.
• Build frontend functionality with React and backend services with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and implement APIs, distributed services, data models, and reusable engineering patterns.
• Use AI-powered tools such as Claude and Cursor for development, research, documentation, and bug triage while maintaining quality and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and engineering teams, contribute to technical standards, and share knowledge through documentation and examples.
• Maintain legacy codebases and participate in an on-call rotation for issue response and triage.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development skills with Node.js and TypeScript, plus experience designing APIs and distributed services.
• Frontend expertise with HTML, CSS, and a modern framework such as React, including state management, accessibility, performance, and security fundamentals.
• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, object-oriented programming, system design, and data modeling.
• Experience building and deploying high-quality software in cloud environments.
• Proficient English and availability to work in the hybrid hirify.global Poland setup.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with WebSockets, real-time applications, and collaborative editing.
• Experience contributing to cross-platform solutions.
