Consultant, Software Engineer | Python ETL Technical Lead (Python ETL)

Location: Hybrid in Columbus, Ohio, with in-office presence two days per week; candidates must live within a commutable distance.

Salary: $118,000–$178,000 expected starting annual salary range; national range $118,000–$222,000.

What you will do

• Design and evolve reusable Python ETL framework patterns for extraction, transformation, validation, loading, logging, retries, checkpointing, auditing, and restartability.
• Build and support integrations with REST APIs, SDKs, databases, files, SaaS platforms, and cloud services.
• Implement normalization, enrichment, deduplication, reconciliation, delta processing, upserts, and bulk data loading.
• Drive production readiness through automated testing, CI/CD, containerized execution, monitoring, alerting, SLA tracking, and secure secrets management.
• Lead architecture and code reviews, mentor engineers, document standards, and collaborate with architecture, security, governance, product, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Advanced production experience with Python and ETL framework design, including modular architecture, packaging, testing, error handling, performance optimization, and maintainable pipelines.
• Expertise integrating REST APIs, third-party SDKs, databases, files, and cloud services using secure authentication, pagination, rate limiting, retries, and schema validation.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, schema mapping, incremental and bulk loading, data validation, reconciliation, deduplication, data contracts, and schema evolution skills.
• Experience with containers, CI/CD, GitHub, automated testing, observability, secure configuration, and platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or Harmonia.
• At least six years of programming and systems analysis experience, with hands-on technical leadership and mentoring experience.
• This role does not offer employer-sponsored work authorization and does not participate in the STEM OPT Extension program.
