Senior ETL Developer (Python)

Location: Customer site in Chantilly, Virginia, United States

Salary: $140,000–$187,000–$205,700 annually for the Washington, DC metropolitan area

What you will do

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for an enterprise-level analytic and visualization tool.
• Build and support a custom Python-based ETL framework.
• Interact with PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases.
• Create scripts for the automated gathering of new data sources.
• Support development and production environments handling time-critical data for a broad user base.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with polygraph are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, geography, or a related field, or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 8 years of relevant experience.
• Professional experience with Python and Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, plus basic HTTP knowledge.

Nice to have

• Understanding of GIS concepts and experience with ESRI Server, services, ArcGIS JavaScript API, or other GIS applications.
• Experience with AWS/C2S and cloud environments.
• Understanding of REST and SSL/TLS.
• DevOps certification.
