is a privately funded New Space company developing sustainable launch solutions for small and medium-sized satellites and constellations in Low Earth Orbit.
What you will do
- Lead the Canadian launch site from concept through operational readiness, including infrastructure, procedures, staffing, safety frameworks, procurement, contractors, and construction.
- Establish and manage the Canadian legal entity as its registered Managing Director, ensuring compliant daily operations and alignment with Board directives.
- Build relationships with Canadian authorities, regulators, suppliers, industry partners, and community stakeholders to secure required launch, environmental, and operational approvals.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a multidisciplinary launch operations team and coordinate with global teams in Germany, Norway, and Sweden.
- Oversee future launch campaigns, including vehicle integration, pad readiness, payload integration, lift-off chronology, performance reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Manage governance, financial planning, HR coordination, risk management, HSE, security, audits, and statutory reporting.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in aerospace, launch operations, or complex industrial operations.
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams in high-reliability environments.
- Experience establishing or scaling a new site, facility, or business unit.
- Experience working with regulators, government agencies, or permitting authorities.
- Strong experience managing contractors, infrastructure projects, operational budgets, scheduling, and safety-critical processes.
- Knowledge of corporate governance, statutory obligations, internal controls, and compliance with labor, financial, environmental, or safety regulations.
