Director, Project Management - Oncology

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: $162,000–$243,000 USD annually, plus a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Direct and coordinate Project Directors and Project Managers across global clinical study portfolios.
• Provide strategic oversight of clinical programs, including planning, governance, scope, risk, resources, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for study sponsors beyond project management.
• Manage project interdependencies, milestones, recovery plans, re-scoping, postponement, and cancellation decisions.
• Partner with Business Development on opportunities, proposals, budgets, bid defenses, and client needs.
• Lead KPI reporting, continuous improvement, quality compliance, and project management organization profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a science or health-related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of clinical research experience, including extensive project and line management experience.
• Working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process.
• Experience managing complex global trials and working in cross-functional project environments.
• Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, negotiation, and conflict management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and project management software; ability to travel domestically and internationally with overnight stays.
