Program Chief Engineer (Aerospace): Leading the technical execution of complex spacecraft programs from architecture and design through verification, manufacturing, launch, and mission operations with an accent on technical authority, cross-disciplinary integration, and mission success. Focus on driving engineering convergence, leading rigorous design and readiness reviews, balancing performance, reliability, cost, schedule, and risk, and making evidence-based decisions across spacecraft disciplines.

Location: Toronto, Ontario; hybrid flexibility with an on-site work presence required at the Toronto headquarters

What you will do

  • Provide technical leadership across Systems, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, RF, GNC, Payload, AIT, Manufacturing, Operations, and Product Assurance.
  • Drive engineering convergence, technical progress, decision-making, and accountability across spacecraft disciplines.
  • Lead design, anomaly, readiness, and other rigorous technical reviews, challenging assumptions, analyses, margins, interfaces, and verification evidence.
  • Balance performance, reliability, cost, schedule, manufacturability, and mission risk while maintaining technical integrity.
  • Represent Engineering in customer reviews, supplier meetings, executive briefings, and governance boards.
  • Mentor senior engineers and future technical leaders while improving engineering standards, platform standardization, and lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience developing complex spacecraft or aerospace systems.
  • Experience as the technical authority or senior technical leader for at least one spacecraft development program.
  • Extensive knowledge of spacecraft architecture, integration, verification, manufacturing, qualification, launch, and mission operations.
  • Exceptional technical judgment, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

  • Chief Engineer, Deputy Chief Engineer, or equivalent technical leadership experience.
  • Constellation or multi-spacecraft program experience.
  • Experience across multiple spacecraft disciplines, mission assurance, integration and test campaigns, launch campaigns, or on-orbit operations.
  • Experience driving engineering standardization and AI-enabled engineering workflows.
