Prescribing Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (Virtual - Remote) - MD - 1099 Contractor (Mental Health)

Location: Remote within the United States; full-time US residency required. An unrestricted Maryland state license is required. Office space for seeing clients is required.

What you will do

• Provide virtual psychiatric care to children, teens, and young adults through video intake and follow-up appointments.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, mental health risk assessments, and medication evaluations.
• Develop patient-centered treatment plans and provide longitudinal medication management.
• Document treatment recommendations, message patients, and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based, culturally responsive care in accordance with clinical best-practice guidelines.
• Refer patients to evidence-based therapy and coaching services when appropriate.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited CCNE PMHNP program, or from an accredited ARC-PA physician assistant program with PANCE certification.
• Hold an unrestricted Maryland state license and reside full-time in the United States.
• Have at least two years of professional practice experience.
• Have office space suitable for seeing clients.
• Be able to treat patients across a full range of diagnoses, clinical complexity, and severity levels.
• Active DEA licensure and experience or additional certification working with minors are strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, a postgraduate psychiatry fellowship, or another academic psychiatry certificate.
• Doctor of Medical Science degree with a psychiatry concentration.
• Clinical experience with minors and the ability to offer in-person care.
