Cloud Platform Engineer (Multi-Cloud)

Location: Remote-friendly within the United States, with occasional onsite requirements in the Washington, DC Metro area. Work must be performed in the US; foreign locations, foreign IP addresses, and personal VPN connections are prohibited.

What you will do

• Deploy and operate multi-cloud landing zones across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement infrastructure and policy as code with Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build cloud integrations using APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and event streams with secure secrets management, logging, and error handling.
• Manage Azure Virtual Desktop, DNS-as-code, certificates, platform monitoring, alerts, and risk signals.
• Review cloud configurations against security and compliance baselines and automate detection of misconfigurations and suspicious activity.
• Coordinate with identity, device, and cybersecurity teams to maintain Zero Trust controls, documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or platform operations.
• 3+ years deploying and managing production cloud landing zones in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• 2+ years implementing infrastructure as code with Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
• 2+ years supporting federal IT programs in HHS, NIH, FDA, or other health-focused agencies.
• U.S. citizenship, US residency, US work authorization, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop or equivalent virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, CIS benchmarks, and CISA Zero Trust guidelines.
• Experience integrating platform telemetry with SIEM or SOAR tools for automated alerting and remediation.
• Azure Administrator, AWS SysOps Administrator, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer certification.
• DevSecOps experience, including automated security testing in CI/CD pipelines.
