What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable back-end applications and e-services using Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Shape application architecture, technical designs, coding standards, and integration approaches across the product ecosystem.
• Design RESTful APIs, web services, database integrations, and robust contracts with front-end developers.
• Collaborate with Functional Analysts, QA, project managers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, support sprint planning, and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Improve automated testing, performance profiling, development processes, maintainability, and system reliability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Java design and development for enterprise-scale web applications.
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related computing discipline.
• Advanced expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, relational databases, transaction management, and query optimization.
• Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, enterprise design patterns, layered and hexagonal architecture, and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, JUnit, Mockito, debugging, performance profiling, and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in public-sector, government, ERP, GRP, IFMIS, or large-scale financial applications.
• Experience with microservices, cloud-native environments, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and product modernization initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with relevant AI tools and technologies.
